Many of us are wondering, how many holes does a woman have? If you imagine a woman’s lower part, you could say it has two holes – the anus and the vagina, of course. But if you study further about the female body system, you will learn that there are not only just 2 holes in a woman’s lower body but it has 3, and these are the anus, vagina, and urethra. And these holes have significant roles and functions in a woman’s body.
Now, for further explanation of the female anatomy, let us take a look at the image or diagram of a female reproductive, digestive (since rectum and anus are part of the digestive system), and urinary system below. To have a better understanding of these 3 significant holes.
3 Holes and Their Functions
Now we take a look at the functions of the 3 หลุม in the female’s lower part and know their significance.
พื้นที่ ทวารหนัก is the ending part of the digestive tract and the digestion process starts from the mouth by eating food. To further understand the main role of the anus, let’s first discuss the digestion process and see the other important parts of the ระบบย่อยอาหาร.
ปาก: It moistens and dissolves food, allowing us to taste them with the help of the taste buds on our tongue. We ingest foods and chew them so we can easily swallow them and propel them towards the pharynx.
Pharynx: It is usually called the throat and is also part of the respiratory system, carryings air down to the nose and mouth. It lubricates the food and passageways to propel it to the esophagus.
หลอดอาหาร: It is a muscular tube that links passageways from the pharynx to the stomach. So the primary function of the esophagus is to move the food and any liquid from your mouth to the stomach.
กระเพาะอาหาร: It is a hollow organ used as food storage or container that mixes and churns the food. It holds and mixes the food with acid and enzymes that break the food down and turn it into a liquid.
ลำไส้เล็ก: Also known as small bowel. It further digests food coming from the stomach. From the small intestine, the segmentation process begins where it absorbs breakdown products of nutrients from the food we eat – one of the segmented products is the protein which gives our body tissues and organs their shape and helps them to work normally.
Large Intestine: After the small intestine, the food residue propels towards the large intestine for further digestion. It absorbs most residual water, electrolytes, and vitamins. Food residue is concentrated and stored in the large intestine for defecation.
ทวารหนัก: It is the final part of the digestive system. It is the opening of the large intestine after the rectum. Defecation follows digestion. When the rectum is full, our body feels that we need to have a bowel movement. With the help of our pelvic floor muscles and anal sphincters which are part of the anus, we can control our bowel movements. They can detect rectal contents like liquid (rectal discharge or flux), gas (ความมีลม), or solid (อุจจาระ) and control when to excrete them from your body.
Now, we finally understand the importance of the anus in our body. It is like a valve that we can control to excrete body waste (feces and other liquid and gasses) to maintain our bodies clean and healthy.
บันทึก: The anus is full of nerve endings which makes it very sensitive. Experts found out that inserting objects like butt plugs stimulates the P-spot and G-spot which is eventually practiced by many couples during their sex as anal play or anal sex. This factor extends the importance of the anus in our body – not only for excreting body waste but also for providing great sensation to our body during sexual intercourse.

พื้นที่ ท่อปัสสาวะ is a tubular structure that serves as a passageway or conducts ปัสสาวะ from the bladder to the outside of the body. The process of excreting urine from the urinary bladder is called micturition also known as urination. We need to excrete urine because it contains nitrogenous wastes like urea, creatinine, ammonia, and uric acid which are harmful to our body – if exposed to such high toxic loads. The most common illnesses are gout and kidney stones caused by the high volume of uric acid in our bodies.
So, be mindful that if you feel like you are about to pee/urinate, then go to the nearest comfort room or someplace where you can release the urine out of your body to prevent serious illnesses.
Are Male and Female Urethra The Same
Well, the male and female urethra has the same functions – a urinary duct where urine is transported out of the body. However, the male urethra has two functions, it excretes urine out of the body and also a passageway of semen and sperm during ejaculation. When the erect penis is stimulated, muscles around the reproductive organs contract and push the semen through the urethra.
ในขณะที่ female urethra has only one purpose ซึ่งก็คือเพื่อ push the urine from the bladder and then out to the body. Another difference is if you look at the diagram above, the structure of the female urethra is shorter compared to the male since the male urethra has to pass through the penis.
If we refer to it as life experiences, well, the vagina is the “hole of happiness” because of the happiness it gives to every woman. The sensation during intercourse and of course, childbirth. But when we refer to it in Science, it is a muscular canal lined with nerves and mucus membranes that links the uterus and cervix to the outer part of the female genital which is the vulva. The vagina has 3 sole purposes and these are the insertion of things like sex toys and the penis of course during sexual intercourse, the pathway of a baby during childbirth, and the passage of menstrual blood during a woman’s period.
Is it Vulva or Vagina
Many people have mistakenly thought that the vagina and vulva are the same but if you take a look at the diagram below, the vulva is the part of your genitals and it is made up of external structures which are the mons pubis, clitoris, labia minora, labia majora, urethral opening, vaginal opening, and the perineum. While the vagina is just the canal or passage connected to the vaginal opening.
So, when we talk about genitals in external appearance, Vulva is the proper address and the vagina is a muscular canal inside the vaginal opening that is just one part of a vulva.
Vagina Is Extremely Expandable
Many would think that vagina would get loose if something is inserted bigger than its size but the vagina is expandable, so it is capable of stretching twice its size and returning to its original shape like a rubber. A vagina can stretch and be able to expand allowing any object to go in or out including a baby during childbirth. When a woman is not sexually aroused, the vagina’s normal depth is about 2 – 4 inches, and when aroused can be stretched up to 4 – 8 inches.
Many wondered how many holes a woman has in their body. And here, we’ve learned that a woman’s lower body has 3 portals or holes that play a very important role. And these are the anus – which is responsible for excreting body waste (feces), the urethra – which conducts urine from the bladder to the outside of the body, and the vagina – a canal for inserting objects including the penis during intercourse, a pathway for menstrual blood, and a passage for childbirth.
Why does menstruation happen?Jayson2022-08-24T13:56:43+08:00
It started on the egg cells of a woman. Once the egg leaves the ovary, it will travel together with the egg through the fallopian tubes towards the uterus. The ovary produces large volumes of hormones (estrogen and progesterone – which help to prepare the lining of the uterus for possible pregnancy). If pregnancy doesn’t happen, levels of estrogen and progesterone drop – the lining breaks down, and the blood, nutrients, and tissue flow out of your body causing your period. This cycle will start again.
